      Forget about April showers, the real storm is brewing May 3rd, the official release date of Dark Neostorm, the last 100-card booster set of the 2018-2019 Dueling season. Each of the core booster sets this past season highlighted one of the main Special Summoning mechanics from previous eras of the game, and in Dark Neostorm it’s Xyz Summoning’s turn to shine!


      Spearheading the return of Xyz Monsters are the Super Quantum mecha pilots! These heroes are joined by a mysterious masked Super Quantum pilot clad in white! This pilot has their own Super Quantal mecha that negates monster effects and can join up with other monsters to form a new Link Monster variation on Super Quantal Mech King Great Magnus. Meanwhile, all the major players in the battle over the World Legacies have gathered, and Armageddon is nigh! World Chalice, Krawler, Mekk-Knight, Crusadia, Orcust, and Guardragon all make an appearance in Dark Neostorm alongside a brand-new Knightmare that can wipe the field clean of Link Monsters!


      Dark Neostorm also follows up from October’s Legendary Hero Decks by introducing brand-new cards for Destiny HERO Decks including a new Fusion Monster that can rearrange the top cards of either player’s Deck – perfect for putting powerful Normal Spells on top of your Deck for Destiny HERO – Diamond Dude to find! In addition to all that, Duelists will be able to find a wide variety of cards for many different strategies and situations, including…
      • A metamorphic Dragon that lets you trade a card in-hand for a monster that matches the Type and Attribute, but not the name, of something on the field.
      • The first new “Assault Mode” monster in a decade, designed to work in a Deck using the “T.G.” cards from Savage Strike.
      • Multiple new “discard” Effect Monsters, including one that boosts your LP for each Effect Monster your opponent Special Summons and another that takes aim at Extra Deck “climbing” strategies and other similar strategies by preventing a monster from being Tributed or used as material for a new Extra Deck monster.

      Firewall Xceed Dragon liest sich echt stark und er ist noch generisch dazu...

      was bis jetzt gezeigt wurde gefällt mir gut wieder quer Beet an Themen welche Support bekommen zwar nichts was die Deck´s ins Competitiv hebt (m.M) aber dennoch cool das da noch Support kommt.

      Altergeist bekommt Ihren Tuner und vmtl. auch Ihr Synchro Monster :/

      Ich finde Astroymare Idrise wirkt sehr gut. Bestraft den Gegner ordentlich fürs Eskalieren im ersten Zug. Auch Deus X-Krawler hat Potenzial. Ziemlich stark in Kombination mit Prediction Princess Tarotray.

      Ansonsten gefällt mir der D-Hero-Support. Drawguy ist etwas underwhelming, dabei braucht es so dringend weitere gute Monster neben Malicious. Die Fusionszauberkarte ist hingegen richtig gut und auch das Link-Monster enttäuscht nicht (auch nicht optisch).

      Eine honorable Mention kriegt Magical Musket - Bloody Crown. Einfach weil das Artwork aussieht wie ein Plattencover von Iron Maiden :D

      zu chaos hole soll gesagt sein, dass traptrix nun einen suchbaren (!) negater für handtraps (!) + handrip hat. spicy!

      Ein generisches reborn für Linkmonster. Ist zwar etwas situationsabhängig, aber in den richtigen Decks sicherlich durchaus spielbar. Nicht zu stark, aber durchaus spielstark. Gefällt mir.

      Da sich viele Karten aus der Hand spezialbeschwören lassen ist die Karte eine sehr schöne Comeback-Möglichkeit. Durch den zweiten Effekt auch im ersten Zug nicht ganz unbrauchbar, wenn man es schafft sie zu zerstören. Ansonsten kann man mit ihr eine Spiegelkraft bluffen und hoffen, dass der Gegner sie schießt. Wird sicherlich gespielt werden.

      Ich habe von Altergeist nicht soviel Ahnung, klingt aber jetzt nicht ganz so stark. Immerhin ist es ein Tuner und das Deck sollte damit Zugriff auf fast alle Synchrostufen haben. Aber rein von dem Effekt her scheint sie mir weniger gut. Aber das Deck ist auch stark genug, noch mehr starker Support wäre echt zu viel des guten.

      Da ich Dinowrestler spiele finde ich es schade, dass das Deck so schwach bleibt. Klar sie orientieren sich am Anime, wenn jetzt aber kein gutes Link 1 Monster erscheint, dann ist die Karte einfach (wie das ganze Thema) kaum spielbar. Das ist so ärgerlich. Vor allem wenn man bedenkt, dass es Gouki ersetzen soll.

      Sehr interessant, dass Knightmare nach und nach immer mehr Support bekommt. Es harmoniert so irgendwie (fast) gar nicht mit dem Thema und lässt sich schwer mit Orcust verbinden (welches ja auch ein Knightmare Monster erhalten hat), aber wer weiß was die Zukunft bringt. Immerhin lässt es sich über Mermaid Spezialbeschwören, so dass man ein Linkfeld des Gegners sprengen kann. Ohne zu zielen oder zu zerstören. Man könnte es daher in Orcust vielleicht sogar 1 mal spielen. Bin gespannt war daraus gemacht wird.

      Bei den Guardragon ist eh nur das Extradeck interessant, aber auch hier sehe ich nicht richtig, wie das ganze zusammenspielen soll. Das reine Thema besitzt eigentlich nur 1 normales Monster (gut man könnte auch mehr spielen, aber wenn man das Thema eh verlassen möchte, dann ist es sinnvoller, nur die Extradeckmonster zu nutzen) und das will man deshalb nicht wirklich verbannen. Zudem besitzt das Thema keine Level 9 Monster, weshalb man wieder auf Themenfremde Karten zurückgreifen muss. Thematisch und spielerisch für mich daher völlig daneben. Das ganze Thema ist an sich (abseits des Extradecks) völlig wirr, brickig und nicht gut durchdacht. Sie hätten lieber das Maindeck deutlich stärker machen sollen und die Extradeckmonster deutlich schwächer. Aber naja, es ist halt so wie es ist. Das Monster hilft dem Thema leider so gar nicht.

      Ach wie habe ich mich gefreut, als ich gelesen habe, dass Krawler doch noch Support bekommt. Ein Tributmonster ist (fast) was neues und dachte schon, dass es deswegen einen extrem starken Effekt hat und dann lese ich den Text und werde immer enttäuschter. Sinnlos ist er nicht, aber es hilft dem Deck auch nicht wirklich. Der erste Effekt ist meist sinnlos, da der Gegner meist weiß, welche Krawler Monster ich beschwöre, da sie entweder durch einen Swarming Effekt kommt oder per Tribut beschworen werden muss. Ein guter Spieler wird die Karte deshalb niemals anzielen. Der zweite Effekt ist ganz nett und kann sicherlich den Gegner auch etwas stören. Der letzte Effekt ist wiederum völlig sinnfrei im Krawler Deck. Wäre es wenigstens ein Stufe 7 Monster oder höher, dann hätte man "World Armor" holen können, aber so ergibt das (für Krawler) keinen wirklich Sinn. Immerhin eine kleine Mauer, mit hohen Verteidigungswerten, die durchs Swarming kommen kann, aber er erhöht auch die brickrate. Ich werde ihn vielleicht einmal spielen und testen. Aber so richtig hilft es dem Thema nicht.




      DANE-JP059 Seiibutsu no Taidou / World Legacy Burgeoning

      • Special Summon 1 Level 9 monster from your hand.
      • Target 1 Level 9 monster you control; Special Summon 2 Level 9 monsters with different names with original Type and Attribute different from that target’s from your Deck, but they cannot attack, also they are destroyed during the End Phase.


      Hier merkt man endlich, dass die ganzen neuen Stufe 9 Monster jetzt ein eigenes Thema/eine eigene Engine bilden soll. Aber sieht man sich die drei Karten an, merkt man, dass sie sich auch kaum gegenseitig unterstützen. Krawler setzt auf verdecken, der Guardrache auf normale Monster vom Typ Drachen und der Knightmare auf Linkmonster. Ich verstehe echt nicht was sich die Entwickler dabei denken. Anstatt auf Zwang irgendwas miteinander schlecht zu verbinden hätten sie hier die Möglichkeit drei Themen sinnvoll zu erweitern. Keiner erwartet etwas, was die Themen ins Meta hebt, aber so ist das ganze fast schon Müll und das tut mir als Spaßspieler echt weh zu sagen. Warum nur wird sowas gemacht? Dabei sind die Artworks so cool und alle diese Themen hatten Support dringend nötig. Ich versteh es einfach nicht.


      DANE-JP054 Fusion Destiny

      Ziemlich gute Fusionskarte, die auch aus dem Deck das Material holt. Richtig, richtig gut. Da werden sich einige Heldenspieler sicherlich sehr darüber freuen.


      DANE-JP009 Destiny HERO – Drawguy

      Note: It’ll likely end up as like, Drawer or something but we’re deciding to leave that as the TCG’s problem, so to speak.


      Ebenfalls ziemlich gut. Erzeugt ordentlich Kartenvorteil. Wird sicherlich auch gespielt.


      DANE-JP015 Kuugadan no Tenrei Philo (Philo, Messenger Fur Hire)

      (2) If a monster “Fur Hire” is Special Summoned to your field while you control this monster, (except during the Damage Step): You can target 1 monster “Fur Hire” in your GY; Special Summon it in Defense Position, but place it on the bottom of the Deck if it leaves the field.


      Das die Fellsöldner noch Karten bekommen hätte ich auch nicht mehr gedacht. Sie wirken so fertig. Da die Monster aber immer in doppelter Ausführung kommen erwarte ich nun auch noch ein weiteres Stufe 1 Monster. Der Effekt ist auch richtig stark, da er die großen Fellsöldner zurückholen kann und sich dann ihre Effekte triggern. Hilft dem Thema enorm noch mehr Kartenvorteil zu generieren. Trotz der langweiligen Spielweise mag ich das Thema sehr, vorwiegend wegen den schicken Artworks (ich mag Steampunk-Luftpiraten und Piraten im Allgemeinen und das ist das einzige Thema in Yugioh welches Piraten als Hintergrund haben). Bin daher froh, dass es doch noch weiter geht.


      DANE-JP016 Tsurara no Mayakashi – Yuki-Musume (Yuki-Musume, the Ice Mayakashi)

      Extrem stark, da sie auch aus dem Friedhof immer wieder kommen kann. Ihre Stufe ist an sich nicht ideal (da sie nur Oboro ermöglicht), aber man kann sie ja auch für das Linkmonster nutzen. Sie gibt dem Thema zumindest deutlich mehr konstanz starke Felder aufzubauen und das über die Runden hinweg. Man kann sie sogar mit Yasha abwerfen, dann mit ihrem Effekt rufen und Dakki in den Friedhof legen. Dann macht man eine Linkbeschwörung und geht dann weiter auf die Synchromonster. Man könnte aber auch Mezuki auf den Friedhof legen oder Balerdroch/Banshee und das eigentlich jede Runde. Das ist wirklich eine Karte die das Thema gebraucht hat. Mal davon abgesehen, dass sie den Bonetower-build noch konstanter macht (die Karte gehört aber eh verbannt).

      DANE-JP062 Deviritual no Kakurebou / Impcantation Secret Study
      Field Spell Card
      You can only activate 1 card with this card name’s per turn.
      (1) When this card is activated: You can reveal 1 “Impcantation” monster from your hand, and if you do, Special Summon 2 monsters with the same name as that monster from your Deck, then shuffle the revealed monster into the Deck.
      (2) Once per turn, if a Ritual Monster is Special Summoned to your field: You can target 1 card on the field; destroy it.


      Interessant, dass das Thema noch mehr Support bekommt. Hier dachte ich auch schon, dass es abgeschlossen sei. Die Karte ist wohl von allen Themenkarten die schlechteste. Aber man sollte bedenken, dass sie allein wegen des Namens auch genutzt werden kann, um die Ritualkarte zurück zu bekommen. Es ist also nicht verkehrt sie zweimal auf der Hand zu haben. Ansonsten ist der erste Effekt kaum zu gebrauch, da man ihn nur zünden kann, wenn noch zwei Karten im Deck sind. Immerhin kann man so den Effekt der Karte triggern, das hilft, wenn man mal wieder die falsche Kombo auf der Hand hat und man dringend eine Karte braucht, welche ein Ritualmonster aus dem Deck holt oder so. Nicht völlig sinnlos, aber auch nicht das, was das Deck gebraucht hätte. Besser wäre gewesen "Mische 1 Mantrawichtel von deiner Hand oder Spielfeldseite zurück ins Deck und füge deiner Hand 1 Mantrawichtel - Karte mit anderen Namen hinzu". Das böte vielmehr taktische Möglichkeit und konstanz. Der zweite Effekt ist aber ziemlich gut, doch ob das alles genügt um die Karte zu spielen? Testen werde ich sie definitiv.


      DANE-JP072 Madan – Bloody Crown / Magical Musket – Bloody Crown

      Schade das es eine Fallenkarte ist, als Zauberkarte ist es genau das, was das Deck gebraucht hat, falls die erste Normalbeschwörung negiert wurde. Aber auch so ziemlich stark. Wenn ich es richtig sehe kann man durch ihr auch im gegnerischen Zug etwas beschwören und dadurch kommt man wieder zurück ins Spiel und kann auch wichtige Zonen (Für Linkbeschwörungen etc.) blockieren. Das gibt dem Thema nochmal einen wichtigen Push und mit World Legacy Awakens kann man auch im gegnerischen Zug eine Linkbeschwörung durchführen und dank dem neuen Linkmonster ordentlich + machen. Richtig eingesetzt könnte es dem Thema extrem helfen ins untere Meta zu kommen. Bin ich mal echt gespannt.

      Ziemlich guter Effekt, der ordentlich Kartenvorteil erzeugen kann. Vor allem Aurora ist da ganz gut, da sie als Tributmonster sonst eher schwer zu rufen ist und danach das Feld vor Zerstörung schützt. Außerdem wird es so deutlich einfacher sein, dass Boss-Linkmonster zu rufen. Bin tatsächlich nur erstaunt, dass es ein Regenbogengemälde ist, da uns ja noch eine Farbe und ein Gemälde fehlt. Das Thema braucht also immernoch mindestens die beiden Karten um komplett zu sein. Zudem ist es dann auch gemein, dass dieses Monster beim Regenbogengemälde-Artwork dann fehlen wird. Aber das ist meckern auf hohem Niveau, die Karte ist echt gut für das Thema.




      DANE-JP077 Chain Hole

      Wirklich eine komische Karte. Wenn es wenigstens eine Karte wäre, welche die Kette dann beenden würde, wäre es interessant, aber so. Schützt einem natürlich vor fiesen Effekten auf die eigene Aktivierungen, besonders vor Handtraps. Wird natürlich richtig interessant, wenn diese Karte gegen Extradeckmonster eingesetzt wwerden, welche nur 1 mal gespielt werden. Aber so richtig überzeugen tut sie mich nicht, da sie ja erst gesetzt werden muss und somit gegen Handtraps nur bedingt hilft. Wird aber sicherlich im Fallenstellerinnen Deck (zurecht) gespielt werden. In allen anderen Decks scheint sie mir bisher zu speziell.

      Wie gut Firewall Xceed Dragon werden wird, wird sich noch zeigen. Aktuell haben wir 2 Targets die er rebornen könnte und das sind Topologic Bomber und Gumblar Dragon. Das dritte LINK-4 Cyberse Monster macht ja grad Urlaub auf der Liste. Primär kein generischer Link Support sondern geht schon Richtung Cyberse.

      denke trotzdem, das man eher weiterin auf die masked heros setzt. DIe frage ist eher wie weit die neuen karten helfen.
      Den Drawguy wird man wahrscheinlich 1- bis 2 mal dann spielen. Auch das link monster wird man spielen, wobei seine stärke wohl erst richtig zur geltung kommt wenn mali wieder auf 3 ist. Das große problem ist halt das man jetzt schon platz probleme im main und extra deck zu finden
      Ich bin ein wirklich glücklicher Wichser, wisst ihr das?
      Die Weatherpainter-Falle macht genau das, was ich mir gewünscht habe.

      Hatte aber nicht mit nem Rainbow Canvas gerechnet, da Rainbow selbst ein Gemälde ist, so, wie sie geschrieben ist, sondern halt mit dem/der roten Maler/in + Gemälde.
      Aber das waren ja erst die ersten paar Karten, vllt kommen die noch.
      Bin nur gearscht, dass das Set nicht rechtzeitig zur ycs raus kommt ;^;

      P.S.:Konami, falls ihr das lesen solltet, macht die Falle gefälligst zu ner Super Rare, damit sie zu den übrigen Gemälden passt!!!

      Altergeist Figinellag:
      Der Effekt ist nicht so stark. Allerdings ist es ein Tuner.
      Da in Vrains nach und nach die alten Beschwörungsarten nachgeholt werden, könnte ich mir durchaus auch noch ein Synchro, XYZ und Fusionsmonster vorstellen. Falls die dort nicht sogar schon erschienen sind.


      Astro Knightmare Iblee:
      Der Effekt ist mal richtig übel :D
      Dürfte wohl eine Sidedeckkarte für jeden werden.


      World Legacy Burgeoing:
      Für das Thema wohl eher unrelevant.
      In True King dürfte die Karte aber ziemlich stark sein. Wie sieht es bei den Trains aus? Sind die nicht auch Stufe 9?


      D-Hero Support:
      Was soll ich dazu jetzt sagen? Eines meiner absoluten Lieblingsdecks bekommt Support und der ist auch noch ziemlich gut.

      Destiny Fusion:
      Die Einschränkung ist für viele Decks schon sehr hart, dafür ist es aber eine Poly auf Steroiden. Welches Deck hätte nicht gerne eine Poly die nebenbei noch Foolish Burial on stark ist? Mit generischen Zielen wie Dystopia, Dangerous oder der neuen Fusion hat man auch sehr gute Targets.
      Malicous und andere Karten lassen sich damit auch ohne Probleme in den Grave bringen.

      Drawguy:
      Etwas schade, das er nicht in der eigenen Standby Phase triggert sondern in der nächsten. Trotzdem ist das eine ziemlich gute Karte.

      Dominanteguy:
      Der wirkt schon fast lächerlich gut. Die obersten 5 Karten jedes Decks sortieren und das in jedem Zug, eine Karte ziehen lassen sobald er ein Monster im Kampf zerstört und sobald er zerstört wird bekommt man noch 3 D-Hero Monster aus dem Grave wieder. Was will man den mehr?

      Xtra Hero Crossguy:
      Endlich ein gutes Dark Hero Link. Wonder Driver ist leider Licht.
      Crossguy holt bei seiner Linkbeschwörung direkt ein Monster wieder und kann nebenbei noch jedes Hero Monster suchen.

      D-Tactics:
      Ein netter Atk Push in jedem Zug. Der dürfte auch gelten wenn Tactics das Feld verlässt oder?
      Der Banish Effekt ist auch ziemlich stark, vorallem da er sich nicht nur auf das Feld beschränkt sondern auch auf die Hand oder den GY. Leider gibt es den Effekt nur bei D-Heros mit mindestens Stufe 8....
      Sollte der Gegner sie zerstören, gibt es obendrauf noch einen Search.
      Liest sich gut, nur schade das es eine Falle ist.
