ROTA-JP023 水霊媒師エリア Suirei Baishi Eria (Eria the Water Channeler)
Level 5 WATER Spellcaster Effect Monster
ATK 1850
DEF 1500
(This card is always treated as a “Charmer” card.)
You can only use the (1)st and (2)nd effects of this card’s name each once per turn.
(1) You can discard this card and 1 other WATER monster; add 1 WATER monster from your Deck to your hand with a Level equal to or higher than the other discarded monster’s, also you cannot activate non-WATER monster effects for the rest of this turn.
(2) When your WATER monster is destroyed by battle: You can Special Summon this card from your handNice.

Let’s countdown to the big celebration!
ROTA-JP021 Tartarus no Kaijin (Transient Titan of Tartarus)
Level 9 EARTH Zombie Effect Monster
ATK 2600
DEF 0
You can only use 1 of the (1)st or the (2)nd effect of this card’s name per turn, and only once that turn.
(1) If this card is sent from the Deck to the GY: Send as many cards you control as possible to the GY, and if you do, Special Summon this card, then send cards your opponent controls to the GY up to the number of your cards sent to the GY by this effect. Neither player can activate monster effects in response to this effect’s activation.
(2) If this card is sent to the GY, except from the Deck: You can send 1 card from your hand to the GY; send 1 card on the field to the GY.
ROTA-JP026 Kaineko (Purrfect Lander)
Level 2 EARTH Beast Flip Effect Monster
ATK 200
DEF 200
You can only use the (1)st and (2)nd effect of this card’s name each once per turn.
(1) If this card is sent from the hand or Deck to the GY: You can Special Summon it in face-down Defense Position.
(2) If a monster(s) is sent from the hand and/or Deck to your GY while you control this monster that was flipped face-up: You can target 1 of them; Special Summon it in face-down Defense Position.
Note: This is a play on (pet cat). I’m pretty sure this is referencing “Cats land on their feet” as it’s “Turning/Revolving Cat” literally.
ROTA-JP029 Newbee!
Level 2 LIGHT Insect Effect Monster
ATK 0
DEF 0
You can only Special Summon with the (1)st effect of this card’s name once per turn, also you can only use its (2)nd effect once per turn.
(1) If you have a monster with 0 ATK and DEF in your GY, you can Special Summon this card (from your hand).
(2) If this card is Special Summoned from the hand: You can apply these effects, in sequence.
● Add 1 LIGHT Insect monster from your GY to your hand, except “Newbee!”.
● Place 1 Trap from your GY or banishment on the top or bottom of the Deck.
ROTA-JP044 Shikou no Gyoku Rubisapphirus (Rubisapphirus the Jewel of Maximum Mohs)
Rank 9 EARTH Rock Xyz Effect Monster
ATK 2700
DEF 1600
Materials: 2+ Level 9 monsters
(1) Gains these effects based on the Attributes among its materials.
● FIRE: When this card declares an attack on a monster with higher ATK: You can make this card’s ATK become doubled until the end of the Damage Step.
● WATER: Once per opponent’s turn (Quick Effect): You can target 1 card you control; negate any card or effect your opponent activates this turn that targets that card.
(2) If this card would be destroyed, you can detach 1 material from it instead.
Note: Shikou here is a play on, i..e. supreme/supremacy, but replaces the second part with ‘steel’, i.e. ‘this stuff is really tough’, and the Mohs scale is the measurement of toughness in rocks and minerals.
Sapphirus is Latin for Sapphire.
ROTA-JP067 Kyoutou Toukun (Token Alliance)
Continuous Spell Card
You can only use the (1)st effect of this card’s name each once per turn.
(1) You can Tribute any number of Tokens, then target 1 monster you control with 0 ATK; it gains 1000 ATK for each Token Tributed (until the end of this turn), also it can make attacks on monsters during each Battle Phase this turn up the number of Tokens Tributed.
(2) At the end of your opponent’s Battle Phase: You can Special Summon “Alliance Tokens” (Beast/EARTH/Level 1/ATK 0/DEF 0) up to the number of Tokens destroyed during this Battle Phase.
ROTA-JP080 Kaki no Shukudai (Slapdash Summer Schoolwork Success)
Continuous Trap Card
Activate this card by placing 5 Success Counters on it.
(1) If a monster(s) is Special Summoned from the Extra Deck, and/or a card(s) is sent from the Deck to the GY, by a Spell/Trap effect: Remove 1 Success Counter from this card, then, if there are no Success Counters on it, destroy it, and if you do, gain 4000 LP, then Set 1 “Schoolwork Success” Trap from your Deck or GY, then, if you have 1 or less cards in your Deck, you win the Duel.
Note: This is the only card with Shukudai in this spelling so it’s the only Trap of itself that can be searched so far.
Note: This card is both ‘Fireworks Celebration’ but also more critically is referencing (Summer Homework), as Japan loads students with schoolwork to complete through August.
