    Wollte aucg eas zur nekroz falle sagen, aber leider zu spät. Hoffe aber auf nekroz, shaddoll und dracopals support.. oder ein komplett neues metafähiges pendeldeck, das letzte mit richtigen impact waren die magicians (2016/17) oder wenn man in den t2 Bereich schaut endymion (2019).

  • Abgesehen vor dem Pendel Nerf liegt es daran, dass Pendel Themen nicht einfach "fair" zu designen sind, weil man für das Setup nicht zu sehr Minus machen darf, und sie sind auch von den richtigen LINK Monstern abhängig. Also gleich zwei verhasste Arten von Monstern der Vorposter.

    Die letzten Monster, welche die Mechanik unterstützen, sind zudem sehr generisch und können jedes Pendelmonster aus dem Maindeck suchen. Trotzdem setzte sich keins durch. Es fehlte immer etwas wie z.B. bei Vaalmonica, auch wenn das mit dem letzten Support brauchbar geworden ist. Bei einem neuen, besseren Thema besteht die Gefahr, dass es zu einer Eskalation kommt.


    Außerdem haben sie den längsten Text.

  • Seit Pendel nicht mehr ohne Restriktion vom Extradeck beschwören kann, ist die Mechanik einfach schwach und rechtfertigt nicht, dass man so viel Aufwand für die eine Pendelbeschwörung betreibt.


    Leute die sich in Yugioh über Link oder insbesondere Pendel aufregen, sind in meinen Augen einfach das Äquivalent von Rentnern, die sich weigern das Internet zu akzeptieren.

  • Über Link beschweren sich auch nur ewig gestrige. Die einzigen Dinge, die bei Link damals in der Kritik waren, waren, dass man sich erhofft hat, dass das Spiel verlangsamt wird und dass man ältere Decks nicht mehr gut spielen konnte. Ersteres hat sich halt nicht bewahrheitet, aber die schlimmsten Links sind eh gebannt oder abgeändert. Und letzteres wurde mit der Master Rule Addition gelöst und ich denke, seitdem man keine Link-Monster braucht um Extradeck-Monster zu beschwören sind die Leute mit Links happy.


    Bei Pendulum dagegen sehe ich das etwas anders. Einmal ist es die Textlänge, wie schon erwähnt. Wenn du die Karte nicht direkt kennst dauert es ewig sie durchzulesen.

    Dann ist da natürlich noch die Reputation von Pendulum, weil es war schon am Anfang klar, dass die Mechanik broken sein wird. Das hat sich denke ich noch gehalten.


    Mein persönliches Problem mit Pendulum ist, dass die Mechanik so wie sie ist derzeit wohl niemals über Pendulum.dek hinausgehen wird oder eben Pendulum-Karten einfach nur als Spell Cards für andere Themen benutzt werden. Speedroid hat ja auch nicht so viel mit Pendulum zu tun mit dem neuen Support, der angekündigt wurde. Decks wie Melodious oder D/D/D nutzen ja auch so gut wie gar nicht die Pendelmechanik. Und reine Pendulum-Decks sind halt einfach pendulum.dek, wo dann alles reingeklatscht wird, was an Pendulum-Karten gut ist.


    Ein gutes Pendulum-Deck müsste meiner Meinung nach einen starken Fokus auf die Pendelbeschwörung haben (und dementsprechend auch eigene Links haben), auf ein Thema beschränkt sein und möglichst wenig mit anderen Pendulum-Karten oder Pendulum-Support zu tun haben.

    Gibt genug Backrowhate und ein schwerer sturm bahnt sich ja auch an.


    Ein gutes Pendulum-Deck müsste meiner Meinung nach einen starken Fokus auf die Pendelbeschwörung haben (und dementsprechend auch eigene Links haben), auf ein Thema beschränkt sein und möglichst wenig mit anderen Pendulum-Karten oder Pendulum-Support zu tun haben.

    Davon gibt es ja auch ein paar, z.b. Dinonebel und Qli aber da bleibt der support aus um die decks spielbar und auch interessant zu halten.

  • Ich denke auf jeden Fall auch, dass der Design Space Pendulum nicht gut genutzt wird. Aber die Mechanik an sich ist halt mittlerweile absolut unproblematisch, wahrscheinlich eben auch, weil sie irrelevant ist und die meisten Pendelkarten sind alt genug, dass ihre beiden Effekte zusammen kürzer sind als manche Karte die jetzt geprintet wird (womit ich nichts verteidigen will, ich finde es auch kritisch wie viel Text auf manchen Karten steht.)


    Das ist jetzt Spekulation, aber war Pendel nicht auch ursprünglich als größtenteils supportende Mechanik gedacht? Zumindest hat es sich für mich immer so angefühlt, da lange Zeit (und bei z.B. Speedroid ja immer noch) Pendelkarten in andere Themen eingestreut wurden und dort eben den Job eines Spell/Monsters übernommen haben, wie in den von dir genannten Decks ja auch.


    Und gerade so finde ich Pendelkarten sogar ganz interessant. Noch schöner würde ich es aber finden, wenn man eine relevante Entscheidung hätte, die Karte entweder zu Normaln und ihren Monstereffekt zu bekommen, oder sie zu scalen und ihren Spelleffekt zu bekommen, anstatt ein klares Playpattern vorgegeben zu bekommen. Aber dafür sind die Spielzüge denke ich auch mittlerweile etwas zu schnell.
