ZitatC. Note Taking
Note taking is not allowed in sanctioned Yu-Gi-Oh! TCG tournaments, with the following exceptions:
- Duelists should keep a record of both Duelists’ Life Points for each Duel
- Tracking of mandatory effect reminders
- Tracking of turns and turn counters.
These notes should be taken quickly, so as not to disrupt the flow of the Duel.Wichtige und neue Rulings by <us-ygorules@konami.com>

Um auch den zeitlichen Rahmen zu verdeutlichen, halte man sich an folgende Aussage - den Notizteil habe ich ausgespart :
ZitatThe verification rules are designed for "verification" purposes and not to "study the opponent's
hand/Deck to gain advantage".
:
These notes should be taken quickly, so as not to disrupt the flow of the game.
You should have access to the cards long enough to be able to verify that no additional copies
of the card is there. If you called an Effect Monster card, and all the opponent has is Spell
Cards in the hand, the verification process should be rather quick. You do not get the ability to
study the cards, card text, etc, during this verification process.
