Frage: Crush Card Virus

    Hallo :D


    Ich hab eine Frage zum "Crush Card Virus". Hab im Forum leider nichts dazu finden können und eine Diskussion mit meinem Gegener :)

    • Tribute 1 DARK monster with 1000 or less ATK; your opponent takes no damage until the end of the next turn, also, you look at your opponent's hand and all monsters they control, and if you do, destroy the monsters among them with 1500 or more ATK, then your opponent "can destroy" up to 3 monsters with 1500 or more ATK in their Deck.

    Er: Ich kann entscheiden, ob ich die Monster im Deck zerstören will, weil "... can destroy" nicht ".. must destroy" auf der Karte steht.


    Ich: Würde "... must destroy" auf der karte stehen, dann wäre es eine Bedinung um den "Crush Card Virus" aktivieren zu können, die Aktivierungsbedinung ist aber "Tribute 1 DARK monster with 1000 or less ATK; ...". Das "then your opponent can destroy up to 3 monsters with 1500 or more ATK in their Deck." ist ein zusatz, der wenn möglich, durchgeführt wird.

    Dein Gegner hat schon recht, tatsächlich ist es keine Pflicht 3 Monster aus dem Deck zu wählen und zu zerstören. Das "can" weißt auch noch einmal extra darauf hin.

    Der PSCTS schreibt vor, welcher Teil eines Kartentext Bedingung oder Kosten hat und welcher Teil der eigentliche Effekt. Er lässt dir also keinen Spielraum, irgendetwas anderes hinein zu interpretieren.

    Dein Gegner entscheidet demnach, ob er bis zu 3 Monster aus seinem Deck zerstören möchte oder es bleiben lässt. Die Karte wurde absichtlich so umgestaltet, dass nach dem Resolve des CCV der Gegner nicht unendlich Ressourcen verliert aber auch nicht die Möglichkeit hat, die besten Foolish-Targets aka Glow-Up Bulb, Spore, Dandylion usw. in den Friedhof zu legen.
