Stellt euch folgendes vor...Konami sagt nur noch eine Spezialbeschwörung aus dem Extra Deck pro Zug...und kurz darauf kommt eine neue Monsterart die sich aus dem Extra Deck als normalbeschwörung beschwören lässt.(als Farbe für diese neuen Monsterkarten würde ich auch rot bevorzugen) 
Edit: Soll natürlich ein Scherz sein, aber wäre so ein typischer Konami Move.

Sofern man die Effekte entsprechend nicht zu stark macht sollte das passen.
Aber gerade da sehe ich ein echtes Problem.

Also das mit den Zauberkarten bringt mich gerade auf eine ganz andere Idee...
Wie wäre es, wenn es keine dezidierten Monster/Fallen-Zauber Zonen mehr gäbe. Alles kann überall platziert werden.
Dadurch könnte folgendes entstehen:
-Zauberkarten in erster Reihe mit Pfeilen (eig. genau wie Link marker) welche auf hintere Monsterkarten zeigen um sie zu schützen/buffen.
-Man könnte eine zweite Pendelreihe legen.
